National Service Training Program

About

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is a civic education and defense preparedness program designed for Filipino students under Republic Act No. 9163. Implemented across colleges and universities in the Philippines, NSTP aims to cultivate a strong sense of nationalism, responsibility, and community involvement among the youth. By engaging in one of its three components:

  • Literacy Training Service (LTS)
  • Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS)
  • Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)

Students are allowed to contribute meaningfully to nation-building. This program enhances students’ social awareness and leadership skills. It encourages them to become proactive members of society who are ready to serve in various capacities, both in times of peace and in emergencies.
