UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program includes the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization. The program prepares graduates to address various user needs involving the selection, development, application, integration and management of computing technologies within an organization.

The BSIT graduates are expected to become globally competent, innovative, and socially and ethically responsible computing professionals engaged in life-long learning endeavors. (CHED Memorandum Order No. 25 Series of 2015)

The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program is an undergraduate teacher education degree program designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in the elementary level.

After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program, graduates of BEEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the elementary level. (CHED Memorandum Order No. 74 Series of 2017)

The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization/major in the secondary level.

The BSEd program is composed of New General Education courses, Professional Education courses, Specialization/Major courses, Elective/Cognate courses, Special Topics, and Mandated courses (PE and NSTP). After successful completion of all academic requirements for the degree/program, graduates of BSEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the Secondary Level.   • Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English

Certificate of Professional Teaching (or Professional Education) is an 18-unit program that aims to provide aspiring professionals who would like to enter the teaching profession with adequate academic and practical knowledge needed for teaching, exposure to classroom practices, teaching environment, relevant, and time-tested research based methodologies to develop and enhance their teaching ability.

The field of criminology is the study of crime and the various agencies of justice as they operate and react to crime, criminals, and victims.

The Bachelor of Science in Criminology has a total of 177 units. The program is comprised of the General Education components, professional courses, and practicum (On-the-Job training/Community Immersion). The General Education courses are in accordance with the requirements of CHED Memorandum Order No. 20, series 2013-General Education Curriculum (GEC): Holistic Understandings, Intellectual, and Civic Competencies.

The program aims to:

  • encourage research and inquiry on the nature, causes, treatment, or punishment of criminal behavior and how criminal justice agencies function and respond to crime, criminals, and victims;

  • prepare the students for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, public safety and allied fields; and

  • foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving their fellowmen, community, and country.

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program will equip students with competencies that are needed to execute operational tasks and management functions in food production (culinary), accommodation, and food and beverage service.

After completion of the program, the graduates can pursue any career in the hospitality industry. Program outcomes describe what learners will know and be able to do when they graduate from a program. These are closely associated with the minimum standards identified in the CMO. The Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management program will equip students with competencies that are needed to execute operational tasks and management functions in tourism planning and product development, events planning, transportation services, travel and tour operations and other emerging sectors of tourism industry.

After completion of the program, the graduates can pursue any career in the tourism industry. (CHED Memorandum Order No. 62 Series of 2017)

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program utilizes an integrated approach to study the interrelationships among the different functional areas of business and examine how the effective orchestration of these different components of business operations can lead to organizational success.

The curriculum for BSBA covers a balanced treatment of functional areas in human resource management, marketing, finance, operations, and economics. It broadens the knowledge and skills for local and international business environment. The subjects under the General Education (GE) Courses are as per CHED Memorandum No. 20 series of 2013.

The program aims to:

  • l assume supervisory and/or managerial responsibilities within their organization;

  • l pursue graduate studies in business and management; and

  • l manage a business

Four distinct majors or specializations offered under BSBA program:

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Management (BSBA-HRM)

The Human Resource Management program prepares the graduate for a career in the Human Resource Department of any organization, handling the many diverse human capital requirements of the organization, including recruitment, staffing, training, and career development.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management (BSBA-MM)

The Marketing Management program prepares the graduate for careers in marketing, market research, advertising, and public relations. The curriculum provides graduate with both technical skills and competencies required in the field, but also flexible mindset that is necessary to stay competitive in a constantly changing business environment.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management (BSBA-FM)

The Financial Management program prepares the graduates for various careers in financial management as well as in related fields, including but not limited to, corporate finance, investment management, banking, credit, trust operations, insurance, foreign currency markets, money markets, capital markets, and other financial securities markets. The curriculum provides the graduate with knowledge on financial institutions and technical skills based on established financial theories, methodologies, and various analytical tools.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Business Economics (BSBA-BE)

The Business Economics program prepares graduates for careers in banking, economic and development planning, as well as general management. The program focuses on the relationship of business operations and the economy as a whole.

Many entrepreneurs have achieved great success without the benefit of formal training. However, for every successful new business that we see, there are many more failed ventures that we never hear about.

Through its combination of classroom training and experiential learning, the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEnt) program will help aspiring entrepreneurs acquire skills, values, and attitudes that will increase their chances of success.

After completion of all academic requirements of the program, graduates of BSEnt should be able to set up and manage their own business or work in any organization where entrepreneurial competencies are required. (CHED Memorandum Order No. 18 Series of 2017)

The Bachelor of Arts in English program provides students with knowledge and skills of the English language and literature. It trains students in creative writing, literary, cultural rhetoric, acquiring a high level of English proficiency and becoming articulate speakers of the English language.

Students who would like to work as English teachers need to take additional units of the education curriculum or BS in Education major in English and take the Licensure Examination for Teachers to become licensed English teachers.

The Bachelor of Arts in Economics provides students with knowledge, practical and analytical tools in economics, quantitative methods, and public policy. It aims to prepare students for careers in banking, insurance, finance, government service and teaching.
